Domestic Abuse Awareness

Domestic Abuse Awareness

Our domestic abuse awareness course allows attendees to gain insight into harmful and abusive relationships, impacting on the quality of life and safety. We promote awareness and understanding of all types of domestic abuse and how to identify in various relationships. The Office of National Statistics reported 2.1 million people aged 16+ (1.4 million women and 751,000 men) experienced domestic abuse in the year ending March 2023, in England and Wales. Barriers to reporting such crimes mean that these numbers are likely to be much higher. At Think Mental Health we aim to create a better understanding and recognition for Domestic Abuse, allowing individuals to gain the help they deserve and create safer communities for all - anyone can be a victim. We believe that with education and support, we can move away from the culture of silence and create the change that is desperately needed.
