Neurodiversity Awareness
Neurodiversity is the term used to explain the differences amongst our brain function and the uniqueness of a brain that does not function in the 'neurotypical' way. It is estimated that around 1 in 7 people have a neurological difference, which will change the way they view and perceive the world. Due to multiple factors, it is likely that this number is much higher.
At Think Mental Health we recognise the lack of awareness around neurodivergence and common misconceptions. Our aim is to celebrate diversity and shape cultures, ensuring that nobody is at a disadvantage because of their differences.
Normalising these conversations is our goal, along with recognising the need for neuroinclusion.
