Welcome To Think Mental Health!
Hello, I'm Paul Longley
Founder of Think Mental Health. With over thirty years of experience in helping people reach their full potential, I created this platform to empower individuals and organisations through exceptional mental health training.
My journey is personal. Having navigated poor mental health for over twenty years, I’ve transformed those experiences into a positive force—dedicated to helping others take charge of their wellbeing and confidently support those around them.
As a qualified Mental Health Tutor with expertise in Teaching and Learning, my mission is simple: to provide the highest standard of mental health awareness training for organisations and their employees. Together, we can create supportive workplaces where everyone can thrive.
Hello, I'm Georgia Mennell
I am a Mental Health Trainer at Think Mental Health. I am also a registered Social Worker and have spent the last eight years working in Mental Health, four of these within a Community Mental Health Team in the NHS.
Prior to this, I worked in Mental Health in Education and as a Bereavement Practitioner. I strive to promote the importance of positive mental health in both my professional, and personal life. I believe that compassion, self awareness and transparency are powerful tools in easing the pressures of life. Stigma is outdated, and we need to create room for Mental Health education and acceptance, to improve the quality of our lives and achieve our full potential. As a mum, this is one of the most important lessons that I can teach, that will truly last a lifetime. Every human being should know how to support their own mental wellbeing, and that of those they care about.
Courses at Think Mental Health are designed to provide the insight, knowledge and skills, to ensure that our Mental Health and contributing factors are a priority.
What drives us...
Mental health comes with a lot of stigma that needs to be broken. The three main stigmas are weakness, burden and embarrassment, all of which stop people, particularly men, from speaking out and sharing their problems.
Keeping these thoughts and feelings to yourself is never the answer, as it can result in stress, anxiety, depression and other mental health conditions worsening until they reach a tipping point. My mission is to support businesses in Hull and East Yorkshire through bespoke mental health courses and enable their employees to stay in control of their wellbeing.
Paul's experience
Over the years I’ve worked with all kinds of organisations, including Smith & Nephew, Victory Leisure, Willerby Caravans, First Ladies Club, the Humber Bridge Board, Ridings Engineering, the NHS and Hull and East Yorkshire Mind.
I’ve been involved as a Lead Facilitator for Andy’s Man Club in Hull, which involves organising fundraisers, working closely with the NHS, the local media and the University of Hull, and most of all supporting our members with their mental health journeys. This role has included delivering inspiring talks and speeches to the Hull business community, with audiences of 800+ representatives from large companies such as Siemens, Arco, Victoria Plum, ResQ and the Department of Work & Pensions.
I’m delighted to say that Andy’s Man Club won the High Sheriff Award for Work in the Community, which reflects my dedication to tackling a very real problem that exists throughout society. With one man every two hours taking their own life, it’s crucial that people know how to spot the warning signs and protect their own mental health.
A passion for sport
I was also a talent identification scout for Leeds Rhinos and now deliver this important service for my beloved Hull FC. This allows me to continue working with young people and helping them to achieve their dreams.
This has also led to Hull FC launching an official partnership with Think Mental Health to support its Centre of Excellence, bringing exceptional mental health training to its rising stars.

Award winning business
Recently Think Mental Health was awarded Start-Up Entrepreneur Of The Year at the Hull & East Yorkshire People In Business Awards.
