Think Mental Health Black Tie Ball Awards celebrate excellence in suicide prevention across the Humber region and beyond.
The Think Mental Health Black Tie Ball Awards celebrated excellence in suicide prevention this weekend in Hull and the Humber Region. The event was held to honour businesses and individuals who have made a significant impact in the field of suicide prevention and mental health awarness. All proceeds from the event each year are to be donated to ANDYSMANCLUB who are a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. Who want to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation. #ITSOKAYTOTALK
Suicide is a preventable tragedy that claims too many lives each year. In an effort to raise mental health awareness and promote suicide prevention, Jeni Cornwall, Paul Longley and Leon McQuade launched The Think Mental Health Black Tie Ball. The awards are free to enter, and they recognise individuals and businesses that are making a difference in the fight against suicide prevention. By shining a spotlight on the work of these unsung heroes, the awards are helping to change the conversation around suicide prevention and mental health within our region.
This year's awards ceremony was a great success, and we are looking forward to seeing even more innovation and progress in the field of mental health in the years to come. Thanks to everyone who helped make this night possible!

Next year's awards are already in planning. Jeni said: We need a bigger venue due to the success of these awards. We had to turn people away!
With the awards being a great way to show our appreciation for the hard work and dedication of businesses and individuals are making to drive change within the region. We are looking forward to next year's awards and we hope that even more people will be able to attend and participate.
